What do the levels mean?
| Level | CEFR | What to expect |

| 0–10 | A1 | Single words, present tense only, no connectors. |
| 11–25 | A2 | Simple present-tense sentences, basic connectors (and/but). |
| 26–40 | A2/B1 | Past tense introduced, simple sequencing, embedded quotes. |
| 41–55 | B1 | Subordinate clauses (that/which), modal verbs expand. |
| 56–70 | B1/B2 | Passive voice, past perfect, longer subordinate chains. |
| 71–85 | B2/C1 | Nuanced modality, idiomatic phrasing, varied register. |
| 86–100 | C1/C2 | Near-native complexity, low-frequency vocab, stylistic variation. |
